Having moved to Edenbridge in October 2016 I was asked if I'd be interested in escorting a gentleman to the pub twice a week and of course how could I refuse. So I was introduced to Jim and I enjoyed our twice weekly visits to The Old Eden. Yes the journey to the pub was somewhat easier (down hill) than the one home but the chats with Jim were worth every grunts and groans of pushing him back up the High Street. Jim would have his 2 pints of Westerham Ale and I'd have a shandy (no drinking and driving). We would sit in the garden come rain or shine so that Jim could have his pipe and we would talk about anything and everything. Then once we had given Sheila a bit of piece and quiet it was back home in time for lunch.
